Journey to the Island of Skye at Houston's 43rd Annual Scottish Festival at the Toyota Center

Take a journey to the legendary Isle of Skye through the sights and sounds of the best in contemporary and traditional Scottish music and dance

Houston's 43rd annual Scottish Festival will be at the Toyota Center for one night only: Friday, March 16, 2007, at 8 p.m. This side of the Edinburgh Tattoo, there's nothing quite like this two-hour show -- and the performers are some of the world's best interpreters of the Scottish arts.

The show features the current Juvenile World Champion St. Thomas' Pipe Band, the only United States Pipe Band to have won FIVE world championships. You'll also see some of the world's finest highland dancers, including the current U.S. and North American champion, who ranks among the top four dancers in the world.

There will be authentic piping and dancing performed with a quality rarely seen on this continent. But there's much more.

The band is a leader in the fusion of the bagpipe and other musical instruments. Two of its CDs were named Pipe Band Recording of the Year by Piper and Drummer Magazine. In addition, the dancers are known for their blending of traditional Scottish steps with contemporary themes, flair, and humor.

Special guests attending the Festival include young patients from the Children's Cancer Hospital at M. D. Anderson and their families who will be viewing the show from party suites generously furnished by the Toyota Center.

For a show unlike any other you'll see this year, make your plans now to journey with us to the Isle of Skye at the Scottish Festival.

Sponsorships are available at a variety of levels, some include tickets to a VIP preview party prior to the performance.
